Particularly needed are canned meats, canned meals like soups, stews, etc, peanut butter, dried milk, etc. We continue to deliver groceries during the summer months and we would be grateful for your support. Thank you for ensuring that our food donations do not drop during the summer months.

St. Edward, in conjunction with Bon Air Friends, will build a home in Powhatan. Anyone 16 and older is able to work on the home (16-18 will need permission forms signed by their parents. Click here to download permission form). Thanks to your generosity of time and funds, we have been able to provide decent, affordable housing to 9 families!

Our Mission is to enable our parishioners to fulfill the Gospel call to love of neighbor and the church's call to action on behalf of justice. The Human Concerns Ministry assesses and responds to the needs of the deprived, disabled, neglected and opposed in our parish, our community, and the world.
All parishioners and friends 55 years of age and older, wishing to enrich their lives with cognitive and informative session, entertainment programs, Cathedral Concerts and luncheons, bus tours, and socialization are welcome to join us! Come and become active!
Our brown bag luncheon meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from September to May at 11:00 am in classroom C & D in the Church. Examples include musicals, health, humor, senior wellness topics and Richard Barnett specials. One particular program of interest will be "Canine Companions for Independence" with performing dogs.
A traditional Haitian dinner...this is NOT one of those all you can eat dinners…it’s a REAL dinner! Put on by Confirmation Candidates and Religious Ed High School students with support from native Haitian parishioners and the Haiti Committee. Students are $5 and adults $10.
Will be held at 6 pm in the church community center. Event includes dinner, music, wine, and cultural event. For reservations call or email us your name, the number of guests and a phone number where we can reach you to Mary Kelley at (804) 864-4707.
The nursery is open during the 8:45 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday Liturgies for children ages from ages 1 to 4. We have fun age-appropriate toys and games for children to enjoy.
The nursery is staffed by one employee and two or three parents. If you choose to use the nursery, you will be asked to volunteer once every 4-5 weeks for one mass. Come and visit us one Sunday! We’d love to meet you!
